Well, our bags our packed, Christmas tree is up (I heard a rumour that some elves would be visiting our home while we are away!) and the outside Christmas lights are up and the urn is decorated!! (Who says that Martha Steward doesn't live here any more?)
Even though it was very hard to say goodbye to our 2 grandsons, (and other family members) we are more than ready for our trip and very excited to see what God has in store for us.
We are also looking forward to meeting Aaron and Erica Kenny and their children in person!
We are taking 4 suitcases, each under 50 lbs. and no! they are not filled with Joy's clothes, makeup, etc.! We will be coming home with probably two empty suitcases as they are now filled with wonderful items for the teachers and children in Eastleigh and the Kenny's. Many thanks to all those who helped us fill those suitcases. We know that it will be gladly received by the people there.
Also thank you for all you phone calls and e-mails. Please continue to pray for us and we will also be keeping you in our prayers.
We leave Toronto at 6:20 PM and arrive in Amsterdam at 7:30 AM. We have a 3 hour layover in Amsterdam and arrive in Nairobi 8:30 p.m. on Friday evening. (They are 8 hours ahead of us.)
Well, off to Swiss Chalet for a late lunch, and then to Tim Horton's for one last coffee and then to the airport!
